March 27th 2008 - Jumelle previously known as the Johnson sisters graced the studios of Radio Anguilla and left an impression on Let's Talk as they entertained and enlightened with their presence and delightful personalities.
The Jumelle Duo, twin sisters Cutie Johnson and Lyn Johnson talked about their life and their music, their new release and the upcoming concert in Anguilla. The Jumelle sisters started singing in their church choir at the tender age of 11 and haven't stopped since. It is often said that they have a natural talent for their art and this talent clearly shines in their lyrics and music. Jumelle has also won many competitions and many awards in the musical arena.
The ladies had many encouraging and inspiring words for young people and for eveyone in general on persevering and not accepting failure; but instead to work hard and to be always ready for the moment.
Among the duo's crowning moments were when they became recipients of the 2002 Caribbean Gospel Marlin Music award for outstanding group vocal performance of the year. Jumelle has also sang for US President Bush and many dignitaries the world over. They have toured the Caribbean, and performed in many countries in Europe, The US and Africa.
Jumelle performed in Anguilla on Saturday March 29th, at The Campus B auditorium.
