Kidney Disease and Dialysis

Focus on Health February 18th 2008 - Juvenile diabetes, hypertension, and how these diseases relates to kidney disease and the need for dialysis.

Three very community minded ladies were the guest on Let's Talk. They  gave out important information to the public, and once again the emphasis was on good nutrition, and doing the right things now to be healthy later.

Mrs Ruby Fleming, Mrs Lilian Sutherland, Dr Lana Hoyoung spoke about the severity of and the life changing effects of dialysis. They encouraged the listeners to go back to the old days and eat more fruits and vegetables and less fried foods.

Mrs Ruby Fleming is the founding member of a new organization called Focus on Health whose main objective is to create awareness about proper eating habits, healthy lifestyle changes and to educate children and parents to be alert and to make proper food choices.

More information will be given here to keep ypu up to date on the plans and functions of the Focus On Health Organization.
