March 28th 08 - The good news show - Open forum on Thankfulness
All good things were celebrated on this show as Host Bree gave a number of reasons why persons should be grateful.
This was the first ever Let's Talk good news show and it was a celebration of happy events - the big things and also the little things.
The mood in the studio was set and Host Bree created a moment of reflection and gratitude as she encouraged listeners to call in and say what they were thankful for in their lives.
Many times we complain or become complacent and just move along seemingly uncaring, taking things for granted.
The host mentioned a number of things for which people should be grateful such as having kids that don’t give trouble, having a warm place to lay your head at nights, going to the doctor for some test and finding out that everything is fine and for just being alive and well and having enough to eat.
Being thankful, not only for what you have but also for what others have, is a wonderful thing to do, at any moment…did you know that?
Being thankful is a great thing. Whats so great about it you ask? Well For a start, being grateful is the very first factor to start receiving more of what you want.
You cannot welcome more abundance into your life until you have said to the universe truly, "Hey, thanks for all I have"
Being thankful puts you in a better mood. After you've spent a few minutes reflecting about what you have and feeling grateful for it, you will find you are in a much more optimist state. Compassion and kindness will probably fill your heart.
It is not a matter of comparison, but think for a second about the millions of people who are not blessed with what you have, or are simply in a worse condition. Realize that you could easily not have what you have chosen to focus on, but you do have it.
The very first Let's Talk good news show on gratitude and being thankful was well received and will be done regularly in future.
What are you thankful for today? Take a moment, reflect on your life and offer a quiet thank you. What are you truly thankful for today?
