April 8th 08 - The Health Fund Explained
Director of The national Health fund Dr Anthony Snell joined the conversation on let's Talk to inform listeners about important facts concerning the soon to be implemented National Health Fund.
Many points were mentioned during the show such as How the Fund relates to Insurance companies, Medical Doctors, Specialist the self employed, employers and employees.
Dr Snell mentioned that the Health Fund would be a system that will be of benefit for persons from the cradle to the grave. All legal residents of Anguilla will be eligible as well as the children and spouses of persons covered by the fund.
Contributions to the fund will be done on a monthly basis with both employers and employees making contributions.
Many important facts about the soon to be implemented fund were disclosed to the public, and great feedback was received as a result. A follow up show will be done on the subject so do look out for it.
